The Nike LeBron Women continues the exploration basketball-specific Air Max, a cushioning package that LeBron has clung to since the LeBron 7. For the latest chapter, the Nike Basketball team created a dual-chambered Air Max unit combined with a Zoom forefoot unit for a brand new expression of Air. Tasked with creating a design that matched the space-age look, the design/engineering team aimed for “an otherworldly feel”, according to Senior Designer Jason Petrie.

Compared to the designs previously unveiled, this Nike LeBron Cheap is by far more simple. Bright hues are kept in the background, used sparingly across the Swoosh’s gradient outline, the eyelet, and the decals below. Elsewhere, black nubuck and patent construct the majority of the shoe, the latter of which is sublimated over with futuristic characters, silhouettes of iconic Looney Tunes characters, and the title of the film itself.
